    Default Sick of it

Ok, as of right now I am sick of all the Harleys riding by all sounding the same. I have seen the same bike at least 100 times. The same color same sound same black leather clad rider with the same illegal beanie helmet. I'll be glad when the Redwood Run is DONE

Tell me about it. My shop is right across the street from ukiah hardly-ableson. Everytime one leaves they have to rev it to the moon. When they are waiting in the turn lane to pull in they have to sit there and rev it over and over and over and over.......

My family all rides Harley! Just like anything, the are the good ones and the bad ones. The bad ones always ruin it for the others. When i ride by myself or with the family there is always an occasional harley guy that is to good to do the hand out on the way by. I really like the Harley guy that hates to get passed by a sportbike. My family gets a kick out of the power and speed when i ride with them. It is two different riding styles. Most Harley guys just ride to ride like us and some just are jerks on the roadway. I feel we are are just out to ride on our two wheelers and should be able to appreciate each other. After all we are always on the lookout for the automobile and the occasional stupid bicycler!!!!!

I'm not getting down on the Harley riders personally Mike, I'm just getting a bit tired of hundreds's and hundreds of them blasting out of Laytonville hard on the gas, most with very little in the way of a muffler. In small groups on non Redwood Run weekends I even enjoy the sound of a good running HD. But when they ride by my shop for days on end it becomes bit annoying. I will say that the metric cruisers sound like shit when they put loud pipes on, they just don't have that good ole HD beat.

None of you all know this but at one time I was into Harley's, I rode in their groups (only 50 miles at a time) went to their parties, got a tattoo and was heading down the outlaw biker path wfo. Even had a 48 1200 Panhead, that I had to work on every time it was ridden. I got tired of the fights, which happened at EVERY party they had. I didn't like riding from bar to bar, and I liked to ride much farther that 50 miles at a time. I just didn't fit in, so I went back into what I had been doing and that was riding sporty Japanese bikes. Sure glad I changed lanes back in 1971.
So here it is Sat morning and it's soo quite outside Most of all of them are up near Piercy at their camp sites by now, but come Sunday afternoon, Monday morning, the valley will once again be a roar from them all heading home. I'm just glad this only happens once a year

I went to a harley bar once, I finally had enough and stood up and said HARLEY SUCK
After twenty of them beat the hell out of me and it was over I stood back up and said
"AND IT TOOK TWENTY OF YOU PANSIES TO KNOCK ME DOWN"

Jimmie, I am with you, I never understood the HD mentality, much less the stunna mentality either. Nothing wrong riding any bike, especially if your willing to pay for 80 year old technology. The cruiser bikes sound like shit compared to a harley, cracks me up to see the Pseudo HD riders on those things. The problem is IMO, 90% of those who own a HD turned into a moron after the purchase it, 10% already were

Omg Jimmy! You owned a hardley? Never thought I would say this but......what a !! Just kidding Jimmy you are still the man I think the most hilarious part is when a group of riders (HD or anything else) has the gay little leather vest with a name and rank on the front and there squid herd insignia on the back.

lol Yeah I owned one, one was all it took. . . You would of loved seeing me before I had the Harley when I'd ride up to the party house on my 69 KAWSASAKI 500 triple 2 smoke, lets just say I got called out a few times, but my friends backed me up. They would tell who ever was doing the calling out that if they could beat me in a race then they could try to kick my ass, I never lost. I would even race um with my girl on the back just to give them an advantage.
Oh and that Pan was a custom trike, it had narrowed wide glide forks 18 inches over with trick adjustable for rake triple clamps a flipped over 45ci servicar rear end, chain on the 45 was like a sportster on the right the Pan was on the left. from the front of the front tire to the rear of the rear tire was 10 FEET long It was an older show trike. I rode it for a while and just hated it, sold the trike stuff and began building it into a bike again. Lost interest and sold it.
A Harley idling = potato potato potato potato potato potato
