NBSR was a little more to some than others, i think that is safe to say. When Michelle and I moved to Santa Rosa we happened to go out for a ride to *$ for some coffee on a BN. From then on we never attempted to go out and meet other people in a new area. We thought we found our home. A year and a half later, the rug was just pulled out from under my our feet. Jake? Jack? Who's that? I don't know the guy, and I think I'd only talked to the guy for a total of 2 mins on one occasion. He might have started NBSR but he sure wan't the reason we were around. NBSR was like our family and we have made a lot of great friends whom we won't lose just cause Jack shuts down NBSR. I have a feeling he gets a rise outta all the waves he's made playing his kiddie games. Take your ball and go home
, no one here wants to play wth you anyways!!
I understand wanting to start a new chapter but what rational thought process did you go through when you came up with the idea and said to yourself, "I'm gonna shut down the site and I'm taking NBSR away from all the people that invested months and years into it and no one can do shit about it." ???????????
I also feel very disrespected and want no part of it if it, by some strange chance, comes back!! I understand your frustrations and rants Tim.
Ok, I'm done.

This was in my e-mail yesterday.
Hi Everyone,
(FYI... do not reply to this email... this is just a sending address and will not receive emails)
First I want to thank you all for the support and contributions you've made over the last 6 years. I think many of us can attest to the fact that we made great friends, shared fun and interesting stories and learned so much from each other. I also witnessed a support system between members that you almost never even see in the offline world, much less on a motorcycle forum.
I realize many of you are disappointed about the closure of the site and if I had the ability to keep it going forever, I would. Unfortunately many things played a role in needing to close it down. Some based on the fact that the tone and subject matter was starting to go in a different direction. Some of it due to some changes in my personal life that have made it much more difficult to maintain the site going forward. I realize there have also been several discussions on other forums about the closure... many comments were supportive, some were not... some were speculative about the reasons. Some suggested transferring it was the way to go, but unless you've set one of these up... done all the customized coding, maintenance, etc... you can't possibly know how complicated that can be.
I also received lots of PMs from other forums, emails, text messages, phone calls, etc... Although I tried to address it with as many people as possible, it got to be too much so unfortunately I had to shut down my PMs on other forums and NBSR email accounts.
I realize many people have pictures, information, PMs, etc... that you want to download, read, copy, etc. For that reason, the site will be up until March. It will only be accessible to logged in members and you will not be able to post, reply to posts, etc... In a sense it is now in "read only" mode. Once the site goes down in March, I will still have an archived version in case anyone desperately needs something, but I'm hoping by keeping the site up until March, it will give everyone plenty of time to get what you need.
I hope you all found quality time to spend with friends and family over the holidays. I personally am looking forward to getting back to being a rider and a member and focusing on what I love to do the most... get out there and ride.
Thanks again for all the understanding, support, patience and contributions over the years. It's been amazing!
Sincerely,
Jack (acme rider)

so interesting,
im sad that NBSR is gone,
but im glad NCSR is rising up and a new arrival of NBMR
NBSR allowed me to connect to other great people that share the same passion as I.... motorcycles
but i was banned from posting and warned several times for my "opinionated views" that usually was spun off from SOMEBODIES elses comment.
I like NCSR, and will continue to support it, same with NBMR and BARF....
I run the barf license plate because the logo is hilarious.... a bucktooth bandit giving the bird 2x!!!!!!!
Ill run some NCSR stickers as well if i ever get any....
