Default would terry install these? quick disconnect brake/clutch lines for motorcycles

    hey all,

i just realized my parent company Staubli provides quick disconnects for brake/clutch for all sorts of motorsport applications, anybody have any experience with these? I will be writing a proposal tomorrow to the North America Connectors Division Manager of Staubli if these are worth it... any thoughts?

Pegasus - Staubli Non-Spill SPH Male Coupling

my co-worker that ran AMA has them, so now I must get the same treatment as the Pro guy!!!!

In fact we were joking if Graves yamaha had the Staubli gas connector, their rider who was in the lead at the first pit in daytona sportbikes probably woulda won if he didnt get gas spilled all over the place

How often do you plan on disconnecting your clutch hydraulic system?

well, when i first got the 1000, the clutch engagement was at the end of the levers stroke... literally. I was unhappy but now have gotten used to it.

So i figured getting a new clutch lever will solve the problem... well i got a used pazzo and threw it on, now the lever binds into the grip before it completes the stroke for the clutch :(!!!!! I have to leave it at the farthest away point at setting "1" to get it to barely clear the grip by 1/2 a inch, i havent ridden it yet so i dunno.

So i scoured around and rode 2x other gsxr 1000 k7-k8 just like mine, both of their clutch/cylinders worked in a much better range then mine.... !!!! :(!!!!

Now i will be looking into replacing the clutch cylinder and adding on my galfer line with a staubli quick disconnect. I might as well use it as long its free, the connectors are like $120 a piece, and you need two per line. Thats if i can get it....

Maybe the clutch lines just needs bleading? ...or perhaps the cylinder needs new seals?
    no regrets

the only one i would have would be quick disconnect gas line. i had one on my 1994 Monster M900 and it rocked.. my new bikes could benefit from it..and the only reason i would want it is because i swap body work each summer..so this way i wouldn't have a mess on my hands..thats it.

i can bleed a system in 20 minutes so thats not a big issue for me.

Modern sport bikes have a quick disconnect fitting on the fuel line.
