Default rotellaT 5w-40 a post of oil analysis

found this oil analysis about rotellaT on a WRX turbo. As many of you know turbos add extra heat to oil as they lubricate the turbo.

While not in a motorcycle interesting they say to try and goto 7000 before changing.

what happened to you going to Amsoil? I am thinking I am wasting my money on that expensive Motul 300V. A buddy just suggest Mobile 1 4T at Autozone for $8.99 a quart...

Mobil 1??? Rotella T is great, have been using it for years with great results. I use to be a Suzuki/BMW service manager and had been to many oil and fuel seminars where they talked to us about why NOT to use car oils in motorcycles and all. But after reading for over a year and a half on the SV Rider forums about how good Rotella was and how it held up better than some motorcycle specific oils I finally tried it. And it is better than a lot of the big buck motorcycle oils that I was buying. I'll never go back, well at least until they change the Shell formula...

I've been using the Mobil 1 synthetic since I have had my bike. My engine is running great, and want to leave well alone. Have had bad luck changing brands in one of my cars. Always like to see studies, as long as they are not biased.

Hey the motorcycle shop in santa rosa is going to start carrying amsoil by the end of this week!! I have to do an oil change before sept 13 trackday at Searpoint.. I am also trying to decide if I should stick to running the dunlop Q2 I am use to or trying out the Bridgestone BT003 R/S I won at 3J track day.. Decisions, decisions... I was thinking of sticking to a tire I know, but I also went down in turn 7 with the Q2 in the 2nd session of that 3J's day...
