Done. Update to follow. Me hungry, Pho on da menu
Step 1 Asses
In the image below take a close look at the disc (Remember) then pads and surrounding environment. I have always before removing nuts bolts etc, used a cleaning rag with a degresser sprayed to the rag to mop up the dirt and grim, just getting the crap off.
Here the Disc is cleaned, with Light Steal wool and brake cleaner. Buffed to shine again, the road crap is off, the disc free of the old pad composites. Old pads are out and the same detail cleaning the caliper is taken. Pulled apart inspected for cracks wiped clean and new pads in and ready to be snapped together. NOTICE THE DISC
Last stage finishing it up, Clean, free of debris, Torqued to spec and looking spiffy. Pumped the breaks, pads in place now it is time for the fronts.
.
I did not do any photos of the front, It is the same process, so I just wanted them done. Its good to note just cleaning things up, checking the pad, measure for tolerance, inspect and assess does not mean you have brand new brakes. CAUTION, is advised, as New Pads on Old discs are good, but, there is a higher break in period and noted. Like new tires, you need a hundred or so miles AROUND TOWN Miles to seat them new pads in.
Carefully inspect your discs all the time, not just on pad changes and NEVER use sandpaper on a disc always use a ultra fine wool.
Damn that before pic was a dirty one.Always nice to have new brakes. Always double check the pump up when done. I got my gixxer back from the suzuki dealer one time and they didnt pump them up. It made it quite interesting when I took off across the parking lot and didnt have any back brakes when I got to the street. At least the fronts worked.

Since I wont be able to get out for a few more days, my noodle doesn't retain things as they did, so the reminder. It is not so much my memory fails me, its my recall that dont work![]()
