    sorry threadjack

so my 600rr has galfer hh pads, well below 50% and they stop the bike so much harder then the brakes on my gixxer. the front compresses quite drastically on moderate braking, i didnt even wanna try hard braking since the pads were so low, it was a mental mind fuck for me.

is there such a thing as a certain pad offering more or less feedback through a lever?

I cant seem to tell the difference, or is the difference multiplied by the master cylinder you are using?

I did clean the shit outta the 600rr calipers, vs 10k road grime on the gixxer. Does this unmask some lever feel that i am associating with the 2x bikes? Gixxer = bad lever feel with xxx miles, 1yr old fluid, and 600rr = good lever feel with cleaned calipers/ fresh fluid?

pads have a great influence on lever feel.

Exactly, that is why I run the EP's now. They have better lever feel than the stock
GSXR HH's and also better than the Vesrah RJL's and the EBC GFA's I tried before.

OK parts installed. Bike braking feels great. Nice firm lever (get ur mind out of the gutter!) Now its time for the experts to tell me how bad I F@#$ed up. rear brakes = Parts unlimited ceramic rear pads $32.95. Don't know what the difference is between all the different materials. liked The price considering that I'm barely scraping by right now. Front pads= galfer Semi-metallic front pads $25.99 per set. Again price was the deciding factor. It was either go cheap or don't ride and miss half the summer. (If we all ever actually do ride together) Oh and let me start the roasting by saying my first F-up was not ordering from my fellow hooligan R1-limited.
