    Default I need a brake

Well, I really do not need a brake more like PADS.

EBC will be the choice, but I am tossed up with being cheap and getting OEM replacements or getting some pads with a tad more stopping power. Rotors are in great shape although I would like to get some better, just not in the budget for 2011.

So I figure the EBC Extreme Pro just because it says Pro

and yes I will go with front and rear. So my question is simple, its more of a OK GUYS GIVE ME A REAL GOOD REASON to spend that extra for Pro's as opposed to the OEM Replacments. We are talking some $20 plus difference

I bet the stockers are way expensive. And of course get the extreme pro.
Looked up stock 06 R1 fr pads and I'm shocked only $38 per side
I got a smokin deal on the EPFA's at $52 per side. But don't you know someone who can get ya a deal on the EBC's?
I love the EPFA's and here's why. They work well cold and hot they work wet they just work.
    And they're made in America

I just went through this myself. Couldn't decide which way to go. I ended up going cheap. I think it was galifer fronts and ebc rear or the other way around. I'm not one of those guys that struts around boasting about how "I never use the brakes" I had a complete front and rear brke faliure once on a kx 500 so now I actually do a extremly light brake test before 90% of all corners just to make sure they are still there I figure if I'm just going to grind them off then go cheap and save money for quality tires.

Ya, for me its simple, I am not racing and at the speeds i run, OEM or Pro wont make any difference

Jimmie the RACE Spec is EPFA 380 HHLC the FA380 will suffice though :)

    KK Part number is 7605-319 FA380HH $39.55

Odd the Catalog for KK without cross refernceing the EBC show a diff number
7605-332 = Front OE whihc is the FA252
    7605-303 = Front HH

    7605-409 Rear

Agreed. I'm no racer and definitly not a pro. Full set of new brakes and a k+n air filter delivered to my door for $145. Some of the brakes I was looking at would of been $140 just for the front. Lol

Ok I'll be to the point cause it's Friday and I have began my consumption of an adult beverage
My SV weighs full of gas about 420lbs, it tops out at about 130mph+ I use ALL of my brakes to make up for HP loss. You guys with FASTER heavier bikes would benefit even more from pads like the EPFA's

    get an HH rear.

Extreme pros are very nice. I like them a lot.
I am going to bring up another issue with the extreme pros they have like 1/2 the material. SO be prepared to replace A LOT sooner.

Infact I think its time for me to order brake pads again FUCK!!!!!

looks like I go through 2 sets a partial race season . I should be replacing them more often.

Personally I would go with OEM or HH pads for the street just to save cash.
