Yep, he's broken.
There's been a weird surging thing that I've been fighting with for quite a while now with my Sprint.
I've been trying to fix all the little things that I could. Changed my chain and sprockets....thought that maybe chain was stretched and sprockets were out of round, or warbly, or whatever. Nope.
New tires! You know, they sit for a bit and get squared off....so got new rubber. Nope.
Pestered Terry about my suspension. That actually did wonders for the bike. For the first time in a long time, I felt suspended. I even adjusted the front just a bit because I noticed that the front seemed to be a bit out as well. But still a weird feeling with the motor. Suspension adjustments actually helped me to feel more of the motor and to eliminate other possiblities. Still very grateful to Terry for the help!
New seat! That Corbin had become a beautiful rock. The Sargent is much more comfortable, but now all of my windshield ergonomics are all screwy. Not too sure if I'm tickled pink with the seat.........but still giving it a try.
So with all of these things that I could do on my own.....bike still just isn't running nicely. You can almost feel all 3 cylinders, and it was just telling me that "I need help Mamma!"
Took the bike into SRBMW and Triumph. Got the phone call, and yep, it's broken! For the first time in a long time, I was so very relieved! Yeah!!! I'm not just being a girl and complaining about whatever!!!!! I knew something was wrong!!!
Apparently, there's setting for the air/fuel mixture that can range from 1 to 30. Saint was set at 22. Dennis called Triumph to see about the settings and find out more about the parameters that he (my bike , Saint) should be set for. Dialed Saint back to number 10 on that setting and the bike was running something awful. So, it's needing a lot of air, and the fuel mixture was adjusted to compensate for that. But now, it's just running too darn rich.
So, they will be tearing into the bike to see what's up. Very excited to have my bike at the Doctor, and I'm looking foreward to hearing what they find. It's been a great learning experience. I've been so afraid to do anything with this bike. It's my beauty Queen and I don't want it broken. I hate to admit that, but he really is. lol......So, I've been encouraged to learn , get my hands dirty, read my books and give things a go. Thanks to all that have helped along the way. Can't wait to have good news to report about him!!!!!
