The race is an additional $50 cost for your team. ($25 a rider) in addition to the $235 dollar entry for the weekends races.
Those who choose to just participate in a stand alone Endurance Race- $120 a team. ($60 a rider). This does not include practice or any additional races, you show up you race your 75 minutes and then your done.
ENDURANCE RACE RULES/DETAILS
Endurance race duration will be 75 minutes.
Those licensed by WERA, AFM, AMA, etc., and those licensed by TTP Racing (for the Open Street class) will be participating in this event together.
All riders have two options for race set-up.
2 riders max per team. Riders may not compete on more than one team.
**Option 1**
2 riders/2 bikes
Bikes must be within the same class breakdown.
Bikes must be the same class (ie. 600's and 1000's cannot comprise a team)
o Classes:
Lightweight class displacement categories are 125CC 650CC
Middleweight class displacement categories are 651CC 751CC
(Ducati 748 749 allowed)
Heavyweight class displacement categories are 751CC Open CC
Twins 650 Class displacement categories are 501CC 650CC
**Option 2**
2 riders/1 bike
o Classes:
Lightweight class displacement categories are 125CC 650CC
Middleweight class displacement categories are 651CC 751CC
(Ducati 748 749 allowed)
Heavyweight class displacement categories are 751CC Open CC
Twins 650 Class displacement categories are 501CC 650CC
STARTING OF THE RACE
Endurance race will feature Le Mans start style start.
o Designated person or second rider must hold the bike upright for their teammate with a dead engine
o First selected rider is to remain standing away from the bike waiting for the go signal from the start flag stand
o Once go signal has been given from the flag stand, the first rider must run to the bike, start the engine and go! The endurance race is underway.
DURING THE RACE
No riders will be allowed to switch during the first 25 minutes and the last 25 minutes.
Designated flag will be displayed once the first 25 minutes has been met to notify riders they can switch. Riders cannot switch until designated flag has been displayed.
Pitting at anytime is allowed, however riders cannot switch unless the designated flag has been displayed or the first/last 25 minute timeframe has been met.
Pit speed limit to be adhered to of 30 mph. Racers who exceed the 30 mph speed limit in the pit area will be subject to a 1 lap penalty.
Racer teams must bring their own 10lb. fire extinguisher if they plan on refueling during the race.
All refueling must be done with dead engines. The rider must be off the bike and the bike on a manually operated rear wheel stand before re-fueling is allowed. The rider must remain off the bike until all refueling is completed.
Pit boards are approved for use with race teams during the race.
All pit crew members must wear appropriate clothing, including long pants and closed toed shoes while in the active pit area.
Pit areas that are assigned to each team are to be used for all pit stops, mechanical work, etc. Teams may not block or encroach into the pit areas of other teams, which includes cut through the pit spaces of others, except those pits immediately adjacent to your pit area.
Maximum of three people in the active pit lane during pit stop, including riders.
All support equipment must be removed from the active pit area, except during pit stops (rider exchange, fueling, minor adjustments, etc.) For major mechanical work, rest periods, etc. the motorcycle and all support equipment must be removed from the active pit area.
Camelbacks are approved for use during the race.
IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH
In the event of a crash, and the bike is rideable, the rider and bike must enter the pits and be re-inspected by a Tech inspector before re-entering the race.
FINISH OF THE RACE
Finishing and placing will be determined by laps and position when time expires.
Each team must keep an accurate tally of laps completed by both riders on their team. In the event of a discrepancy. TTP will review and compare the race teams scoring to timing and scorings results and make the appropriate decision.
Scores are determined by number of completed laps.
