These are the days i want to ride the track, as you can see i tend to only want to travel to T-Hill if its a open day, the requirement that i spend the night after a t-hill trackday really obstructs the costs of things for me, with a open day i can get as much tracktime as i want, packup by 4 and gethome early enough to go to work tomorrow.

Obviously it would be insane to do back to back to back events but it would be alot more enticing for me to do it if i knew another person would be participating with me.

Anyways guys, i cant have a dedicated trackbike sitting in the garage, its gotta get used and abused, infact i welcome any hooligan to take it out for a spin on the track.

hmmm, 2x day school anyone? Ill attend the NCSR trackday!

im more smooth on the cbr 2nd time out, grew some balls, still really out of my comfort zone on everything with that bike, i am soo uncomfortable with my knees/legs i have to really THINK about shifting gears and force input to do it, it does not happen naturally. And it sux.

I almost t-boned a nrs student at turn 11, im not sure if his drill was to take the latest AND widest entry as possible but goddamn i was stuck behind him for 2x laps, he didnt turn in for turn 11 till he hit the first paint line for pit.... and i was on the outside of him........ fukn guy i kept waiting for him to turn in!!!!!!!!shoulda just gone on the inside and pissed the instructor and nrs student off, but it woulda been a much safer pass.... shit

the guy was taking weird inconsistent lines, either going way outside and turning in super late or coming way inside and just not apexing the turn, it was a spectacle cuz the instructor kept slapping his tail and looking behind too see this guy taking turns all weird......

i was too scared too pass this guy, and i really did not expect him to turn so late that i was hitting paint for the pit lane already... i mean shouldnt you be trying to follow the lines the instructor is setting for you?!?!?! guy was just all over the place, scariest rider ive been with on the track period.

im positive he was an nrs student cuz he had a belt on, i had some nice battles with another nrs student with a 1098 ducati on a diff session.

the novice school was a blast, 45 min sessions.

i did 2x 1 on 1 with Hollis, he was very informative, we had 2x sessions together but I didnt get as much track time as i really wanted, he kept on pulling me in and highlighting my issues. Which was good and allowed me to start understanding my faults, i preferred to just follow a instructor but I realized I couldnt really learn anything permanent from following

I had issues with turns 1, 3, 14, 15 and 5 of course.... like real solid issues of not knowing what line i should be taking.

Hollis was a little annoyed i couldnt hit the apex for 6-7-8, that was a different issue all-together, i couldnt get the honda turned in quickly enough during those turns where im rolling off just a lil from WOT to hit the apex and back WOT. I knew where i was suppose to drag my knee over but i was never hitting it :( The band-aid solution; turn it in sooner.... but he told me to just try to flick it in harder and faster.

He also pointed out i needed to prepare my body position before im braking for the turn, before i was braking then body position then turn in..... too much to do right at the time your supposed to turn in. So now im hanging off the bike before the brakes. Gives me that extra split second to setup for turn in. What was happening was i was rushing my turn in and apex, making me miss the apex all together.

I got sniped on my buddies bike, and got sniped again on my own bike, i was downshifting into 3rd passing the tower and coasting into turn 1, the guy who sniped me told me to try downshifting into 3rd at the end of the wall and never coast into turn 1, infact never coast on the track. Well im just not used to hitting turn 1 at 115mph just yet.... lol.

The ohlins played a big difference compared to the last time i was at T-hill with stock suspension. I had no chatter at all around turn 1. When i rode my buddies gsxr 1000 with stock suspension it was bouncing all over the place in turn 1, the suspension wasnt setup for my weight but i was still just put putting on his bike.... I did drag knee though, the gsxrs lower seating position is just so much more friendlier to me then the hondas.

All said and done, i learned alot and will probably be signing up for all of keigwins schools next year. With only 30 riders in your group and instructors up the wazoo, its a more focused orientated school in getting the results I wanted.

Oh yea, i lost a shifter bolt on my 2nd day and dragged my lower fairing quite a bit... dunno really how, cuz the fairing mounts up quite nice in all the right locations...... its not like i fabbed my own mounting points lol.... I got 2x bolts from the MCE racing guy out of garages 15, 16 for $20 and was on my way again.... most expensive 10mm bolts ive ever paid in my life. But for $20 i was still able to get back out on the track. I actually got lucky, he charged my buddy $60 to replace 2x stripped bolts.... wow i should open up a shop @ trackdays, you can charge like $300 in labor per hour and markup bolts 10000%
