So just to clear up confusion I'm posting this last call. We are leaving ukiah starbucks on perkins street at 10:00 am. Meeting any sonoma county riders in booneville at 10:30 and continueing on to comptche. From there its out to the coast, gas and grub in ft bragg then over branscomb road to laytonville. Top off fuel and head for covelo, onward to black butte ranch store for a soda break. Reverse direction and shred back to 101 and slab back south. Its gonna be a great run and all are invited.

Right now I have my forks off putting in 1.00 springs and for me it's a weekend job. Plus I just put on two new tires getting ready for my annual 2500 road trip at the beginning of August. This year were doing Washington, Idaho, Wyoming & Montana. I'll be gone for about a week and a half but when I get back mid August I'll be ready to join all the rides you can throw at me.

When I first moved here in 2009 I thought I found the perfect group to ride with since all of you ride safe but spirited paces. The two rides I went on with You, Terry, Madrone, Jimmy, & Charles was truly spectacular! But in 2010 the group for various reasons (Recession related, Injuries, Track Day fixation) went different directions so I had to go a different direction.

But I do have dreams of one of us winning the lottery so we can get some of the originals back on the road, New 848 for Jimmy and a new street use only liter for Charles. With those two back on the road everything else would fall into place

Had an awesome ride today with Forrest. We were past Covelo to the Black Butte Store in 5 hrs. Would have made it home soon after, but Forrest had some issues with the previous owner on how to install the undertail section. I know Forrest will fix it right. Weather was great, and traffic was good.
I'm so far behind, I think I'm first!

Yep, covelo road has set a new standard of awsomeness. I cant believe how smooth 80% of that road is. Smooth like skaggs but way more fun and without the popularity issue. As for the bike... I can't believe the RVT made it home after that ordeal. I thought I was gonna have to use my new AAA card. Basically for those who were not there, The ass hat that I got the bike from attached the undertail kit with zipties.. with the wieght of the battery and tool kit in there......Then I added the luxury of a CO2 tire inflation and repair kit. I 'm cruising along and I feel something hit my boot. I look down and don't notice anything wrong then the bike goes dead. I pull in the clutch and coast off the side and find my whole undertail siting on my tire. Thats when I notice the zip ties. Must of been a CO2 cartridge that hit my foot cuz that shit was gone. The tire inflater was wedged in between the shock and melted into the exaust. All the wires for the power commander had the sheilding rubbed off and were twisted into a big bundle. So I pulled all the wires apart and taped them up with electrical tape and shoved everything back up in there. Did some bailing wire work and replaced the blown 30 amp fuse. Then i put the rear cover back on and went around the whole tail section with about 10 wraps of electrical tape. It fired right up and made it all the way home. I can't believe the whole FI computer and electrical system wasnt toasted!! Says alot for honda engineering. Now I just have to get her all fixed back up in a more permanent mannor. Maybe a whole new undertail kit.
