Had a 95% great ride on fathers day. Rode the trail to Rutherford than picked up 128 and headed east to winters. Stopped at a watering hole and chatted with some other riders, about simoncelli, mladin and Spies. Great conversation. Did the reverse trip back, and picked up the pace. Still getting comfortable riding my cafe. rode back up the trail to Calistoga and then back to napa. the 5% missing from my good day happened about 2 miles from home. I caught a yellow light and decided to make and not run it. I grabbed the front really hard and the bike died. ALL POWER WENT OUT. I ended up being able to kick start it, and chug on home. The bolt connecting the positive cable to battery disappeared. therefore no power. The bike rode like sh*t the way home. I am thinking it got over heated. Will run it again today and see whats up. No leaking oil, so dont think I blew anything. we shall see

get ready guys i have some news. dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

so i know alot of the locals that ride skaggs, in fact i know that you guys will know who i am talking about when i say the FOG on the superchicken..... Russ on the red superhawk, hes been MIA on skaggs for over 2x years, saw him yesterday. Still not riding in full gear and still not leaning off the bike and still fast as fuck. BUT that is not ALL, he has upgraded..... to a............. can you guess?

he said the superhawk dropped a valve and blew up, so he picked up a tuono, hes moved to the sierras and was just back visiting for the weekend.

4x years ago when i started riding skaggs, he was up there everyday ALL day doing laps all the way to the coast and then back and then out to coast and back again! Nice to see a old face, and nice he upgraded to a Tuono! He was out at skaggs 90% of the time i went out, then poof, glad hes still alive and still enjoying the ride!

Anyways road report!!!!!!!!!!!! major construction on 1 between jenner and stewarts point, its down to 1 lane and they hold traffic forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sucked to get jammed together with so many cars, makes passing a little more scarier on the double yellow when you need to squeeze between 2x cars, not that we pass on the double yellow ;)

stewarts point into skaggs, pretty nice and clean just the usual gravel in the more rural parts way out towards the coast.

skaggs itself has a shitload of leaves on it in a few segments, ive never seen only 1x useable lane like that, so take caution and know where the leaves are before you go at it at a nice pace.

Dude!! I SOOOO WANT TO RIDE THE KTM AGAIN!!! pretty please with sugar on top and beer too?? i KNOW my knee can't handle a two wheeled dirt bike..but i can putt putt around on a quad w/o problems. preeeeeeeettty pleeeeaaaasssee!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Sorry the KTM is gone. I still have the raptor though. The tires are kinda bald on it but could still shred some fireroads some day.
