Default Suzuki Gsxr 1000 Fork Seals

    Hey guys,

need a little help, i need to replace the fork seals and fork oils in my gsxr. The right fork leaks, not severely but i want to tackle it before it gets to big of a problem.

I have multiple questions, is there any special tooling needed if i wanted to perform the work myself, I understand maybe a slide-type hammer to help seat the new seals, and maybe a fancy measuring device to measure fork oil?

But is there absolutely a crazy tool that i must have to undo inverted forks and rebuild them?

i have done spacer/spring/oil install on a conventional upright standard fork.

Also i dont know exactly which seals and bushings should be replaced? I am looking on bikebandit and the descriptions of the replaceable part names dont correlate whether or not its the right seal or bushing to get.
So i clicked on their aftermarket section for my k8 gsxr 1000, they have a category for "fork seals" great..... but i click it and its just the bottom dust wiper seals.... now im even more confused. To stop my leaking fork seals i just have to change the bottom dust wiper seals? seems too easy, i thought id have to put in a new o-ring a new washer a new bushing and a new dust seal?

Please can anybody shed some light on this? I looked on usa-synthetics, im not sure if you guys carry replacement parts like the fork seals for my bike.

attached is 2x pics from bike bandit, if someone can point out the # and tell me this is the part that needs to be replaced or parts it would be greatly appreciated.

I just had to do this on my 03 CRF 450 dirtbike. By looking at your pic it looks like the same exact setup. There is a great YouTube video on how to do this. I watched it like 5 times then tackled it in one afternoon. I used a ziplock bag to protect the seals when I slipped them on the lower fork tubes. (cut the zippy off the bag first) and I used PVC pipe cut in half lengthwise for a seal driver. I didn't use any of their special tools besides the measuring cup. Lol
