Maybe afm will pickup this track again. I cant find the reason afm and willow springs parted but there was some sort of stink.

Bill Huth kicked the AFM and the American Roadracing Assoication off of Willow about 1988, when there was some criticism over the quality of the emergency medical technicians reaction to a racer who didn't want to be transported to the hospital after a crash. He later died of internal bleeding from a ruptured spleen.

    Not really a nice guy
Bill Huth was the chiselling entrepreneur who bought the land and paved Willow Springs in the early 1950's. He talked locals into helping him build the track and never paid them. He would also put his car into local shops for repairs, then take the car back at night, without paying the mechanic.

I am sorry to hear that. Since I was an emt at willow springs in the late 80"s, left in 1988.. A lot of riders would want to continue to race even when you pleaded with them to seek help. I had a rider killed later in the day when he went down and was run over out of turn 2 and into turn 3. RIP.. I am sorry to the see the MC shut down, but at least other trackday and other event will continue. I will miss the 24 hr race though..
No track whoring this year, just ride, ride, ride.. Hope to see you riding. So Terry where I find a track pimp anyways?
