Default RIP #58 Super Sic, Marco Simoncelli

you were a rising star, a standout from the rest of the grid, a real persona off the track as well, and you rode the wheels off that honda battling with the likes of casey stoner, vr, jl and pedrosa, my hats off to you sir.

    a sad day

Dont know about everyone else, but today was very hard. I watched the worst crash i have ever seen, and also saw a fellow rider pass away. Although we may not have shared the same grid we did share the same passion. I pulled a bottle out of my cellar and opened one of my prized wines to share in honor of "super sic".
I have read numerous posts today on social media re: simoncelli but the one that gets me the most and makes the most sense is the one that said "people who have never been on two wheels, will never understand the love and passion of two wheels"
I say to them I live, i ride, See you at the track!
Rest in peace #58, we continue doing what you loved to do!

Everytime we go out we risk our lives. The passion and drive is what makes us over come that. We are mortal and even woth the risks i cannot seeing not riding/racing.

    Horrific accident. Rip #58
Hopefully the rider that hit him can live with himself. I know someone who had a similar acident and haunts him to this day.

I posted this on Barf I figured I would here as well. These are my thoughts

With all the postings of RIP no matter whom it is, I for one get a tad Superstitious. I have been like that all my life, I do not like to dwell and I mean no disrespect and understand some need to discuss this or vent things like this the best way we can.

For me I isolate, I remove myself in an almost supernatural way and my head plays tricks with me. Yesterday and witnessing a horrific event disturbed me, if caused flash back to personal events surrounding loved ones. Especially as the video went to Simoncelli's girlfriend. I tried to ride, heading up Dunne to Henry Coe and found my head no where in site, it was a short trip.

I get very superstitious as I refuse to now read anymore of the event. When I was part of www.RiderDown.org it was extremely hard to read day in and day out the events of loss, or injury, it really screwed with my head. I have no idea why I am writing this down, perhaps it is simply my way of vetting.

Think my note was a little venting as well. Made me feel better.

Then about when I start to deal with the loss of Marco I read that Joe Montoya got killed Sunday also . . .
Joe was an ex AFM president and racer. RIP Joe . . .

I just seen the video, it is a shame when it happens. It was a very bad crash, he probably would have made it if he would of just slid off the track. When he came back into camera view, the rider in front of Rossi had no where to go. At those speeds you cannot always react fast enough. He died doing what he loved!
I'm so far behind, I think I'm first!
