Dana, one major complaint I hear from women about Cruiser type bikes is there lack of performance. I don't mean HP, I mean handling, braking and turning. The cruisers are . . . well . . . cruisers Many I have met won't even think off riding in that mode. My

Yeah, the sportster turns like a battleship, the rear springs are ornamental, the brakes are a handful, BUT the horsepower is crazy. That first 100 feet is freaking off the hook! Top end sucks, but hey.....lol.............whatchagonnado?

The Springer on the other hand is a dream. More ladies should ride those. I guess I just want to see more people riding than anything.

wow this is the most active thread in a long time......

I have to apoligize for my absence, I started a new job as a baker working nights. It kinda sucks for the riding. Also, I am training is Sacramento, so i am gone all week long and only home for 2 days catching up on sleep. It has put a real damper on my riding. Well only 1 more week of training and then I will be working in SR, still nights thou.

the only good thing about working nights is when i get off at 6;30, the roads are wide open and free from traffic. So most of my rides now will be on week days in the early morning since my bed time is 11am now.

as for my thought on "where has everybody gone?" well..............hummmmmm. OK this is gonna hurt, but many of you have become track snobs, doing trackdays and not have a street bike(charles). You all have forgotten about the fun we used to have on street rides, fuck the track you snobby slick douchebags. just kidding, but that made me feel go to say. I find myself doing more spurr of the moment rides. I have just gotten frustrated with group rides. most people whine about goaty roads or too many bumps, bunch of god damn pussies you all are! SO I ride by myself, cause I get tired of the whiners.......it's too goaty, it's too bumpy....my track set up is to stiff for this road......

anyway that is my 2 cents. Man it has been a long night.....maybe i shouldn't post when im tired!

Mostly been lurking.....hoping for a group ride. The few that took place, I couldn't make. The peeps that got me on the boards and I first did group rides with kinda faded away. Could never hook up with Forrest. Like some one said earlier in the thread, " after a ride the board would come alive". It is afterall NorthBaySportRIDERS, not NorthBaySportTYPERS.

Can't have much of a forum without typing involved.

Years ago when they had the AMA/CCS Sportster class (883cc) where they raced either flat track or road racing, the Sportsters were clocked going through turns at Daytona faster than the 600cc supersport bikes. A friend of mine road raced one, and I got to test it out once. It handled quite well. Old school handling, which I understand .

You didn't join the wrong forum did you??? How you been? doing any riding in the cold? I'm thinking about braving it this weekend, probably sunday, if its clear. Shoot for a late start, like noonish. Give the frost a chance to melt.
